Ruvu Fish Farm Ltd.
Ruvu Fish Farm Ltd. was Founded and Registered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in 2014. The purpose of the Company is to establish a Fish Farm
for primarily production of Fry and Market Size Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in Bagamoyo Province, at Msiwe Kibaha District.

Mr. Daudi Makobore:
Mr. Daudi (born 1962 in Tanzania), has over 25 years of business experience in sales and distribution of food to the Tanzania Market; particularly
in the hospitality industry. He is an entrepreneur who has grown numerous businesses from start-up through effective business planning, creative
sales techniques, and innovative marketing.
Mr. Poul Hansen:
Mr. Poul (born 1944 in Denmark) has 50 years' experience in supplying equipment and know-how to Fishing Vessels and Fish Farms all over the
Mr. Daudi and Mr. Poul met at an investor meeting at the Danish Embassy in Dar es Salaam in 2014.
The Sponsors of Ruvu Fish Farm are:
DANIDA: The Danish Government funded Development Organization for Developing Countries. DANIDA has supported Ruvu Fish Farm with a
IFU, The Industrialization Fund for Developing Countries: IFU will participate in the share capital and additionally provide a long term, low
interest loan to the Project. It is the intention of IFU to sell their shareholding in Ruvu Fish Farm Ltd. to the other partners as soon as Ruvu Fish
farm is consolidated. A great advantage of having IFU as shareholder is that IFU will operate as a guarantor for compliance with Tanzanian;
Danish; and International Law and Regulations.
The Board of Directors consists of:
Chairman: Mr. Moses Kimaro: Mr. Moses is Lawyer with experience in establishment and operation of enterprises in Tanzania.
Members: Mr. Daudi; Mr. Poul; and a representative for IFU.
Ambassador Ole Blicher B.sc.ing. Before Ole joined the foreign sevices, he had a number of executive positions in private companies.
CEO: It is a mandatory requirement from IFU that a CEO is appointed. The Board of Directors has appointed:
Mr. Max Andersen M.Sc.: Mr. Max (born 1941 in Denmark) has worked with tropical fishery and aquaculture all over the world for more than 40
years. Mr. Max has participated in establishment; financing; and operation of Tilapia aquaculture projects in: Mozambique; Thailand; Laos;
Philippines; and Columbia.
Mr. Esben Holm, Farm Manager: Mr. Esben (born 1956) Is born and raised on his family's Fish Farm and has worked with Fish Farming and
Environmental Protection. During the last 30 years Mr. Esben has worked outside Denmark and of these at least 20 years in the tropics. Mr. Esben
has for a period of four years managed both the design; implementation; and operation of Maldeco Ltd., a Tilapia farm in Malawi. Mr. Esben has
worked with Tilapia Farming in: Malawi; China; Viet Nam; Malaysia; and Thailand.
Mr. Khumbo Akanthenga: Mr. Khumbo (born ? in Malawi) has been Aquaculture Apprentice for four years under Mr. Esben Holm at Maldeco Ltd.
in Mangochi, Malawi. Mr. Khumbo is fully trained both in hatchery operation and Grow out.
Staff: It is planned to employ one person per pond, plus five persons for the hatchery. Selection of candidates for the jobs and working condition
at the Ruvu Fish Farm will be strictly in compliance with: Tanzanian Law and ILO rules and regulations.

The Mission of the Ruvu Fish Farm Project is to use the Asian model to create a Tilapia Farm which can:
" Produce all male fry for sale to local small scale Fish Farmers.
" Provide on the job training for local small-scale Fish Farmers in Tilapia Farm Operations and Management.
" Produce healthy and fresh fish protein for the Tanzanian Population.
" Create job opportunities for Tanzanians and thereby help poverty alleviation.
" To Train Trainers who can assist local Fish Farmers.
" To create access for small scale Fish Farms to prime quality fry; feed; and equipment.
It is the vision of the Founders of Ruvu Fish Farm Ltd. to create a Profitable Tilapia Farm that can stand out as a lighthouse and inspire
Tanzanians to utilize the huge potential for Aquaculture with which nature has blessed Tanzania.
More Aquaculture in Tanzania will improve the situation in Tanzania by:
Import substitution. Import is paid in foreign currency and substituting the, rather huge import from i.a. China, will save foreign currency for the
Providing access for the low income segment of the population to fresh and healthy fish protein.
Create numerous jobs for both men and women in Primary Production and thereby help to alleviate poverty in the rural areas.
It is the vision of the Danish Partner and IFU to sell their shareholdings when the Ruvu Fish Farm is: Fully implemented and consolidated;
Training of Managers, Trainers, and Staff has reached a level where they will be able to take over the fish Farming Operation.
The Danish shares will be sold to Tanzanian nationals with first right of refusal to the Tanzanian Partners.
